Meet our team: Ten minutes with Holly Richards, Account Manager

Today’s Meet Our Team series focuses on our stellar Account Manager, Holly Richards. Read on to find out how she fits in at Radiant, and her insights on the world of ecommerce.
Where in the world are you?
I am based in a place called Walsall just outside of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. I currently live at home with my parents and two dogs whilst my boyfriend and I are working in the background to renovate our new house in Burntwood! It’s been a mammoth task, however we hope to be in by March (fingers crossed).
What are you up to at Radiant?
I am the Account Manager and my day to day responsibilities include looking after Radiant’s retainer clients. This includes managing anything from a small UX tweak all the way to a full site redesign. I pretty much work with everyone in some way, and I genuinely couldn’t do my job without them.
Favourite part of the job?
My favourite part of my job is definitely the daily interactions with both internal and external stakeholders. I speak to such a broad range of people who all have different skill sets and have their own position and role within the wider ecommerce space. I love the brands we work with, as they are all great ambassadors in their own way for sustainability, and this shines through in their online presence. I love making a difference and seeing a project come to life on a client’s website.
Advice for people aspiring to your role?
Organisation really is key; stay on top of your workload as much as you can as ultimately it will benefit you in the long run. Learn anything and everything, as context and knowledge is so important, not just for getting through the day but finishing your day with a real sense of achievement. And finally, breathe and let go! Everyone has bad days, however it is important to wake up each day with a fresh and positive mindset.
How would you describe working remotely in 3 words?
Balanced, motivating and comfortable. I love wearing a pair of tracksuit trousers off camera on Google Meet calls and walking my dogs at lunchtime!
What’s your proudest work moment?
It was a rare day in the office for me when I was working on a site-wide rebrand for a client. I felt that my colleagues were incredibly supportive through this quite stressful time (due to deadlines) as they helped tackle the QA and really made me feel part of a great work culture.
Favourite ecommerce or account management resources to share?
Do not underestimate the power of LinkedIn. When I first started this role, I began to accumulate a number of followers who work in the ecommerce space. This ranges from tech partners to other Shopify agencies. There are some really great articles out there and it is important to stay up-to-date with the latest trends.
Which clients or projects have been a highlight for you?
All clients in their own way are a highlight as they are all so different and are all actively motivated by sustainability. We have a lot of exciting projects in the pipeline that I am looking forward to seeing brought to life!
What’s the biggest ecommerce trend Shopify pros should keep an eye on?
I’m definitely hearing more and more about TikTok Shopping. This is a very new offering for TikTok however it's certainly very exciting. Today’s generation is all about easy-to-consume content, so having a presence on TikTok is more and more crucial in order to stay relevant and ahead of the curve. A quick shout out to SMS, which is great for targeting customers outside of traditional email marketing.
