How does the 'Ongoing Success' service work?

With our Ongoing Success service, you invest in a set number of hours each month, which can be used in a flexible way across our design and development teams for Shopify maintenance and growth. You’ll be assigned a dedicated Account Manager, who will work with you to plan a roadmap of activity to constantly improve your Shopify store. Regular audits of the work we deliver enable us to understand the impact of changes and improvements, and inform future activity to fuel your ecommerce growth.

How long is the contract for ongoing support?

We’re proud of having partnered with many of our Support clients for years, and we don’t enforce long-term contracts. Agreements are based on an initial service period of 3 months, after which they continue on a monthly basis. Our agreements give you the flexibility to give 90 days’ notice to cancel after the initial service period.

How is the monthly work agreed?

Your Account Manager will agree a roadmap of activity with you, prioritising work that will have the most impact on your website performance. These plans, however, can be flexible, and we can amend the proposed work if different needs arise.

What if we use all our monthly hours and need more?

This is fine - we can agree to additional hours, on the condition that we have capacity in the team to do so.

Can we carry unused hours over to the following month?

Up to 5 hours can be carried over each month. (These hours do not accrue and will be lost if not used the following month.)

We only just launched our Shopify store - what is the point in ongoing support?

Brands are all different - as are their websites. A website is normally designed and built based on data and best practice, but once it launches, we can start to see how real visitors behave and interact with your store. This opens opportunities to optimise and improve the conversion rate to increase revenue and sales. A website needs to evolve to stay ahead of the competition.

What are examples of 'Shopify website maintenance'?

To ensure your Shopify website performs as well as possible, ongoing maintenance is really important. This involves updating the site and resolving any issues. With Radiant as your ecommerce partner, we can identify and deal with minor issues before they escalate and damage your online business. For example, in the past, Shopify’s native filtering was suboptimal, so lots of merchants installed apps to improve the functionality. Shopify subsequently made native filtering much better, so we supported clients on our Ongoing Success service by flagging this change, identifying and removing the apps. This eliminated code bloat which was impacting site speed. Similarly, the Shopify checkout had an overhaul. Changes needed developer support, which is where we stepped in. Having a clean, fast, and secure Shopify store encourages visitors to purchase from you. Regularly monitoring of your website’s behaviour and following a maintenance plan (a list of elements within your Shopify store that require regular attention, updating or optimisation) are key aspects of running your online business.
