Winners of Grazia’s ‘Best New Beauty Brand’ and ‘Elle’s Future of Beauty Award’, we were delighted to partner with Soho Skin to bring the brand to life on Shopify Plus, migrating it on a new build on Shopify 2.0 to showcase its hard-working skincare essentials.
The Challenge
Inspired by Soho House’s global membership community, the range of hyper-functional formulas were developed to remove complicated steps and create a simple, effective routine that meets the demands of modern lifestyles.
While the products are simple and effective, unfortunately the old website wasn’t. The platform it was built on didn’t afford the team at Soho House the flexibility or autonomy they needed to manage the site effectively.
The team considered alternative ecommerce platforms and the decision was made to migrate to Shopify, as it is easier to use and more cost-effective.

The Solution
Soho Skin is connected with Soho House and its members, and as such the site needed an app to take care of membership management. There were no publicly available apps that were suitable due to data confidentiality, so we developed a custom app that was able to securely handle the data while building in autonomy that was also lacking in pre-existing apps. There were complications that needed to be managed including complex discounting rules for members and non-members.
We created a unique multinational checkout to handle the way the inventory is managed - this enabled Soho Skin to fulfil US orders without complicating inventory management. Our custom method enabled customers to be redirected to a US checkout (using Shopify Markets) without having to create an entire US store.
Multicurrency was also handled via Shopify markets to enable international commerce.
Finally, the site integrated Klaviyo to enable the brand to incorporate customer reviews for improved social proof and to manage email marketing.
We designed and developed a custom-built site, and migrated Soho Skin to Shopify Plus on Shopify 2.0. The site conveys the luxury aesthetic and pricing of the brand and its products.
