Simihaze

Simihaze Beauty was founded by twin sisters, style icons and world-renowned DJ duo Simi and Haze Khadra. Together, they created an international cosmetics and beauty brand, where form meets function.

Objectives

One of the key objectives was for the brand to launch its new site quickly - there was a hard deadline to have the new site live well in advance of the Black Friday sales season to maximise returns, which gave us a 4 week project timeline. Another key goal was to get ahead of its main competitors and capture market share through a more engaging and intuitive ecommerce site.

With the majority of its market in the US, it also has customers across the UK, South Korea, Mexico, Canada and the UAE. Simihaze came to Radiant to help elevate its ecommerce presence at pace and was a perfect project for our accelerated theme build, which enables sites to launch in a matter of weeks.

Following a discovery call to understand the brand’s needs and requirements, we helped select the most appropriate theme, which we then customised. Using a mix of design and development resources in the project, we added custom regions, optimised and amended the theme to make it unique to Simihaze.

The Results

Simihaze are very design-led, and their creative director contributed valuable input into the overall aesthetic of the site of how we utilised the new theme and custom regions, collaborating with our design and projects team on the store’s look and feel.

We also incorporated upsell and cross-sell to increase average order value, with a Rebuy integration - the cart now incorporates messaging to recommend complementary products to accompany what the customer has added, with a simple one click to add to basket.

There’s also a progress bar to let customers know they are nearly eligible for free shipping, encouraging them to spend more to qualify. Furthermore, if they do qualify for free shipping, they are incentivised to increase the order further in order to receive a free product.

We also reworked the mobile navigation and search function, rebuilt the product cards, incorporated some custom functionality from their previous site and restyled some key regions.

The site launched over a month ahead of Black Friday, giving the brand time to prepare its sales and marketing activity for the peak period, and testing the site while our team remained on hand to resolve any issues that arose.

Partners and Integrations

We made smart use of other technology to enhance the user experience and journey, and make the purchase decision easier.

Social proof is boosted with a TikTok embed called Videowise that displays videos on the homepage of customers using Simihaze items, helping to increase trust in the brand and its products.

A Klarna integration lets customers split their payments over time, making a purchase an easier decision to make.

Klaviyo is hooked up to the site through subscription forms, enabling the brand to communicate with its audience regularly after they’ve left the site, with an email marketing strategy that will help keep customers engaged with the brand.

Finally, additional payment methods including ShopPay, PayPal and GPay make it as flexible as possible for the customer to smooth the purchase process.

Hard deadline for launch?

Having launched the site in such a short period of time, Simihaze now has time to utilise the new theme, and optimise their campaigns and commercials on the approach to BFCM. The brand can also use the new customised features to elevate their site, as Radiant has provided the tools to rework the site when they need to. There is also potential for support for the site in the future through our Ongoing Success service.
